Kutluk Uslu is a senior-level engineering, operations, business development, and M&A executive with broad and global IT, cybersecurity, and technology know-how and extensive hands-on operational experience. Throughout his professional career of over 30 years, Kutluk has successfully helped companies grow and scale, achieving industry-leading revenue and EBITDA growth targets, utilizing his transformational change, operational optimization, consolidation, thought leadership, and effective decision-making skills. He spearheaded various end-to-end M&A activities, ranging from initial qualification, due diligence, transition, integration, strategic planning, and restructuring to post-acquisition operational support. He has been involved in over 30 acquisition and divestiture transactions, specializing in corporate carve-outs and distressed buyouts.

Kutluk’s unique talent lies in his ability to simplify complex technical concepts and present them to the decision-makers, a skill that has significantly expedited the decision-making process. His proficiency and competence in assembling and leading world-class teams have led to remarkable results in startup and medium-sized companies, inspiring others with his leadership. Kutluk’s career began with his key leadership role in engineering and operations at EBS/NewNet Inc., a signaling and soft-switch middleware startup. His expertise in signaling and communications led to interviews with market analysts and references in IETF SIGTRAN industry standards. Kutluk played a pivotal role in ADC’s acquisition of NewNet and its subsequent merger with SS8 Networks, demonstrating his leadership and strategic planning Skills.

Later, Kutluk spearheaded the carve-out of the Signaling and Short Message Service Center (SMSC) product lines of SS8 Networks by Skyview Capital and led the restructuring and buildout of NewNet CT, as the founding employee and the CTO for the next five years. Under his leadership, the newly established NewNet CT achieved a remarkable 30+% revenue growth in its first year. At Skyview Capital, Kutluk continued to hold a pivotal executive role as part of the core M&A team, leading end-to-end IT, technology, and cybersecurity-related M&A and operational activities for all its acquisitions and divestitures including but not limited to carve-outs from Nokia Siemens Networks, Motorola, Tekelec, Volt Delta Resources, EMC, VMware, OSRAM, AST, and Conduent as well as standalone acquisitions of Fidelis Cybersecurity, Cloud Passage and Interact. During his tenure as the President of Interact, Kutluk achieved an impressive 50+% EBITDA margin for five consecutive years after the company’s acquisition and successfully led its divestiture.

Kutluk earned B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University with a full scholarship.
